Dear Steve (I'm giving you a name blog)

Dear Steve (your new name),

So this week is finals week and my birthday all in the same week. Yeah, it kind of sucks. I decided to switch my degree to a 2 year associates from a BA because Loni wants to go back to school to get her degree in Dental Hygiene. Which will make a lot of money so I am not complaining, I'll go back when she is finished for my BA. So I am going to test at the prison next month, they finally raised the pay to something worth my while till SLCPD (Salt Lake City Police Department) is hiring again (this fall hopefully). I was going to do Highway Patrol but it's a state job and they get paid very poorly. Max pay over 20 years is $50,000.00, which sucks compared to SLCPD; the reason $60,000.00 by your 8th year, guaranteed! How I know, because SLCPD is the only Union Police Department. This is negotiated into the contract they sign every year. So it won't go down I'm told, if anything, it'll get higher! As soon as the hole prison deal gets going and I graduate the Academy we are going to move out. And when we can, I am taking Loni away on some sort of vacation, probably Park City; hotel, blow money, it's always a good time. Hmm, I'm hungry, so I'm gonna go now, O YEAH, blog your name is whatever I said it was before. It is going to be Steve, yes Steve..

I'm 21

It's kinda funny how everyone at work and at school wanted to know what my big plans were tonight, and I had the best answer ever, and I mean it. Well lets say they were talking up their 21st b-days and how drug or dumb they were. So when they were done I was like, well I am going to top all of yours...COMBINED!!! So I said this, everytime: "When I get home I am going to eat a very nice meal prepared by my wife, who is a very good cook! Then help feed my kids and then watch a movie as a family and then go to sleep." And most of the girls smiled, and they guys gave me crap. They don't realize it but it was the best birthday I have ever had, so they can drink and do there stupid stuff, I had a great time!

30 Seconds from Mars

Well I'm back to my blog, it only took me 8 months to remember my password. I filled out my profile more so yeah. Now the title of my blog has nothing to do with what I am going to talk aboubt but it sounds cool so its there.

Since I last posted (last September) a lot has happened, I am in the process of starting my career as a police officer, I had, well my wife Loni had our baby boy "Deron Christopher Shepherd" and he is awesome! He went in for his two week check up and holy moly, he went from 18 1/2 inches long (his length when born) to 21 inches; his weight went from 8lbs. 4 ounces (birth) to 7lbs. 11 ounces (when we left hospital) to 9lbs 4 ounces (two week check up)!!!!! So now we have a family of four and were done!!!! (Loni disagree's so we'll probobly have more but we do agree on 2 to 3 years before another one).

Now, the pride and joy...THE UTAH JAZZ, as of right now they are in the second round of the playoff's vs. the LA Lakers. They were down two games to none when they won last night (I was there, owe and I got to see David Archuleta "the American Idol Star" sing the national anthem at the begining of the game, he did good and Loni was jelous). So anyways, now the serious is 2-1 in favor of the Lakers, for now.

Well I am going to figure out how to add my family to this...so basically I am going to have Loni call Hallie to show me how...

Deron is crying now, gotta go!!!
